Woodinville, WA Breeding extraordinary Labradors since 1984 ![]() Happy New Year from our house to yours. For a holiday slideshow and some pics of the dogs romping in our big snowstorm, click here. A RahRah kid was Winners at the PSLRA show for the third year in a row, and there were *FOUR* new Nipntuck Champions in 2008! See all our latest news, and pictures of Coal's first litter, come see the puppies. Welcome to Nipntuck Labradors, home of specialty winning show Champions, nationally ranked obedience competitors, classic hunting partners, and fabulous babysitters. Our dogs spend their weekends at dog shows and hunting and every day as beloved housepets and family members. We pride ourselves on a kennel that produces true, quality Labradors: Dogs with the type and substance to compete in the show ring at the highest levels; the intelligence and trainability for field or obedience work; and the temperament to be a sound, stable, beloved family companion. Our journey in Labradors has always kept temperament an absolute priority. We are enjoying the trip. Barry and the gang enjoying a romp on the trail after the NW's biggest snowstorm since 1861. The Labradors in our breeding program have done some remarkable things in the last 24 years, not the least of which is producing wonderful puppies. We continue to be proud of the sound, sweet, lovely Labradors our girls are giving us. All of our breeding stock is radiographed and results submitted to the OFA--Orthopedic Foundation for Animals. It is, simply, the best way we as breeders have of reducing the incidence of genetic orthopedic diseases in our dogs. We also have eye exams done each year, and our stud dogs have heart clearances performed by cardiologists. Kate and Booty, doing some socializing at a horse show. At Nipntuck Labradors we feel the relationship with puppy buyers should last for the life of that dog. Our Nipntuck puppies are simply guaranteed for life. Many buyers make their initial contact with us long before a litter is even conceived. Once you have decided to purchase a Labrador puppy, we recommend you plan on six months to a year of research (visiting breeders and meeting dogs), planning, and waiting. If you are just beginning this process, please read this article I co-authored for the Puget Sound Labrador Retriever Club on Breeder and Buyer's Responsibilities to help understand what to look for in your search. And, please, before you begin the process, be sure that a Labrador is, indeed, the right breed for you. (We are sure, however, that if you are visiting this site, you are unlikely to ever purchase a Labradoodle.) Come see what litters we are expecting this year, or visit the boys page to see a list of litters sired by our stud dogs.
(What happens when kids are left unsupervised with puppies and a camera.) Labrador Retriever Clubs I serve on the Board and have been a proud member of the Puget Sound Labrador Retriever Association PSLRA since 1985. If there was ever a more fun, ethical, generous group of people, I haven't met them. I am also on the Board of the National Labrador Retriever Club, and of the Hollywood Hill Saddle Club HHSC. I am the webmaster and newsletter editor, and enjoy working for this unique club. Its 11 acres, arena, trails, and buildings are in the care of its members, and HHSC helps us to live this marvelous equestrian lifestyle in a suburban setting.
