BISS Am/Can CH Nipntuck Arncha Bold, JH, CD

Archie was our multiple specialty winning show dog, wonderful producing stud dog, and best friend and companion of our entire family.

It is with great sorrow we note Archie's passing at a young 12 years old. He showed the youngsters how to do it, winning JAMs at the last four specialties he attended, including PSLRA, just a month before he died. We miss him every day, he was extraordinary, and we know how blessed we are to have shared our lives with him. Anyone who ever met him knows that is not just talk. He was everything a Labrador should be. As a good friend wrote in her condolence note--we should all be so lucky.

Archie has OFA Excellent hips, an OFA Heart clearance performed by a board certified Cardiologist using a color doppler, and his eyes are cleared annually since 8 weeks old. He has had a chocolate son go Best Puppy at a midwest specialty, a daughter win the Bred By Exhibitor Black class at the prestigious Potomac Specialty, a black daughter win Best In Sweeps at BCLRC, and a chocolate daughter was Best In Match at a large all breed match. Archie has won the Stud Dog class six times at specialties, and has more than a dozen puppies who are specialty class winners. For some incredible pictures of peas in a pod, here are some shots of Archie.

The most impressive description of Archie comes from Heather Wiles-Fone in her critique for Best of Breed at Rose City:

"This black dog filled my eye immediately as he entered the ring. Exudes great breed type, superb conformation, loved everything about him and had no hesitation in awarding him this high accolade. Has everything I look for in a Labrador: masculine head without any trace of coarseness, clean neck, excellent layback of shoulder, super dense coat, powerful hindquarters. Moves effortlessly with driving action from behind and strides out in front. Admired his style." --Heather Wiles-Fone

And to cap off an already wonderful summer, Archie earned his Companion Dog (CD) title in Sept. 1999 at the ripe old age of six. He is so cute. :)
