Nipntuck Firecracker, "Rudy," top photos at nine months with Kate showing him at the PSLRA match, bottom at six. Charm x Hyspire Shahli Hotter Than Blazes. He and all his littermates' eyes were cleared by an ACVO opthomologist at eight weeks old. dob 9/11/07 We are excited to have what appears to be a fox red (although light red) stud dog from our own bloodlines. Rudy is now available for stud services to approved bitches, his first breedings have gone well. His pedigree is here. I don't care what color he is at this point, he is just plain old NICE! We are really excited about Rudy, he is looking great. Rudy is proving himself a great little worker in the field: only his third time swimming, he had the tenacity to stick in out through the puppy splashing, perservere and pick up two birds on fairly long marks and pass the water portion of a Working Certificate Test. That was one of my proudest moments as a breeder, to watch that baby let his fear of drowning be overcome by his desire to retrieve a bird. What a good boy! Here are also pictures of him as a newborn through six months, and Rudy and Sissy playing in the snow at four and a half months old. These pictures give a better feel for how his color compares to a typical yellow. It was as a baby that his color difference was the most dramatic, whenever I question whether he is still red I go back and look at his newborn pictures, and that makes us believe he is, indeed, a fox red. Either way, it's a great color, and certainly unusual these days. And, with his first real shed in July, his new coat is now significantly darker. I will take more pictures when it finishes growing in. |
